Lake Hills Memorial handled the funeral for my niece who passed away
at 7 months old. At an unbelievably difficult time for my family, the
service and professionalism of the staff at this funeral home helped
lift the burden of the details of her burial preparation and funeral
service from our shoulders. Everything went smoothly and we really felt
like they cared about us and the grief we were feeling. Thanks so much.Added March 01, 2017 by Jesse Barrett - ★ ★ ☆ ☆ ☆
My folks bought their plots before Memorial Estates took over the cemetery. My father was buried there 20 years ago. We laid my mother to rest this past September. They charged us double for vaults than anybody else in town and you must use theirs or pay and inspection fee of $750 if you use someone elses. When we went out to look at the ground where my mother was going to be laid to rest, they stated to me they had put my father in the wrong grave and would move him when they buried my mother. Do you know what it is like when you been visiting a grave for the past twenty years and it my not be the person you thought it was. We finally got all that worked out, So now I want to give them a proper grave marker that I know my parents would like. I went shopping today for when and when the designer asked me where my folks were buried and I told them Memorial Estates, they told me there were certain requirement that must be met. After talking with the cementery directly I found out whether you buy a grave stone from them or not, they require a "install and maintenance fee of $1000". Come to find out, they maintenance fee includes clipping around the headstone twice a year. Not once a month, not every other month but twice a year. The funny part is, I've gone there on many occasions to visit my father and had to step on my father's headstone to find it since is was covered with grass. Lastly, they require a bronze on granite headstone that cost almost twice as much a beautifully designed headstone made of simply granite. And their reason was because granite can crack if ran over my mowers. But they want granite under the bronze. Hello? But keep in mind, if that bronze plate from the headstone is stolen, unless you bought it from them (paying twice the price) they will not guarantee the theft or replacement....worst customer service and compassion I have ever seen....especially in this time of mourning. My parents remains may be there but "they" certainly aren't...and I thank GOD for that!

I was about to say a bunch of puns at this cemetery, but the situation was too grave.
